I cried on the way to the trail

Jay Stolpestad passed way on April 24th in the early am. Jay was one of the kindest people I have ever met. The first person I road with when we moved here to Santa Fe was Jay. From that ride on Jay and I became good friends. Quite strange really since We are so diferent. Jay brought the best out in people and inspired everyone he came across. A couple years ago Jay was diagnosed with cancer. He never stopped fighting or smiling til the day he died. I will miss him dearly and I imagine many other will too.

We recreated this shot last week with Jay in our thoughts in the same spot on pacheco canyon road

   Jay loved PInback...

You said it, Tim. Jay was in a dream I had 2 nights ago. We we're riding bikes of course. Was good to hear his voice again.
